Kumana
Kumana Bird Sanctuary is a popular attraction in the Eastern Province of Sri Lanka. The park attracts large flocks of migratory and wading birds. There are 255 species of birds recorded here. Best time to visit the park is between April and July.

Sinharaja
Sinharaja Forest Reserve is recognized as a Biosphere Reserve and a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Located in the Sabaragamuwa Province, this mighty forest reserve gives one the chance to spot 20 of the 26 endemic species of birds in Sri Lanka.

Kitulagala
Bird lovers should certainly visit the beautiful town of Kitulgala. Many endemic species of birds such as chestnut-backed owlet, Sri Lanka spurfowl, green-billed coucal, spot winged thrush and orange-billed babbler can be seen in the forests here.
