There will be safari tours at Minneriya National Park and Yala National Park included in this enchanting tour. The magical splendour of the Hill Country will also be enjoyed during your stay. Day 1 - Negombo
Day 1

Arrival and Transfer

You will arrive at the Bandaranaike International Airport, which is the only international airport that the country has. A representative of Tangerine Tours will meet and greet you here. We will be taking you to a hotel in the city of Negombo, which is located 15 minutes away from the airport. Spend the day at leisure as a long and exciting journey in the country awaits! Do enjoy the spectacular beauty of this stylish coastal city while savouring tantalizing tastes of local delicacies at night.

Day 2 - Sigiriya

Transfer from Negombo to Sigiriya

We will be travelling to Sigiriya today right after breakfast so prepare to leave early. On the way to Sigiriya we will also stop at the world famous Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage where you will get to see the beauty of majestic Sri Lankan elephants. Upon reaching your hotel in Sigiriya, get some rest and then go on to explore the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress which is indeed one of the most popular attractions in the island. When night falls return to your hotel to relax.

Day 3 - Sigiriya

Explore Sigiriya

You will be spending a full day of exploration in Sigiriya today. An exciting safari ride in the Minneriya National Park which has large herds of Sri Lankan elephants will be arranged in the morning. You will then proceed to the beautiful city of Polonnaruwa and admire the rich appeal of its well preserved ruins. Polonnaruwa was the second capital of ancient kings in Sri Lanka and you will find beautiful remnants of its enchanting past scattered lavishly throughout the city’s territories.

Day 4 - Sigiriya

Explore Sigiriya

You will be spending a full day of exploration in Sigiriya today. An exciting safari ride in the Minneriya National Park which has large herds of Sri Lankan elephants will be arranged in the morning. You will then proceed to the beautiful city of Polonnaruwa and admire the rich appeal of its well preserved ruins. Polonnaruwa was the second capital of ancient kings in Sri Lanka and you will find beautiful remnants of its enchanting past scattered lavishly throughout the city’s territories.

Day 5 - Kandy

Transfer from Sigiriya to Kandy

Right after breakfast you will be travelling to the enchanting city of Kandy in the Hill Country of Sri Lanka. This was the last kingdom of Sri Lankan kings and it is a city that has wonderfully preserved its proud old world charm. On the way to the city we will be visiting the Dambulla Rock Temple too. Once you reach Kandy we will be taking you to the Temple of the Tooth Relic. The day will end with a stunning traditional dance performance.

Day 6 - Nuwara Eliya

Transfer from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya

We will take you to the breath-taking city of Nuwara Eliya after you have your breakfast at the hotel in Kandy. The scenic journey will take about two hours. When you reach your hotel in Nuwara Eliya you can enjoy some rest and then set off to explore the marvels of the city. An insightful factory and tea plantation tour will be arranged to give you the opportunity to learn about the tea industry of Sri Lanka. You can spend the evening at leisure.

Day 7 - Nuwara Eliya

Explore Nuwara Eliya

The full day will be spent in the beautiful city of Nuwara Eliya. You can have a leisurely breakfast and travel around the city, discovering its myriad of appeals. The first stop for the day will be the Ramboda Falls. It is a spectacular waterfall that is quite famous in the region. You will also get to admire several majestic colonial buildings in Nuwara Eliya. The evening will be spent on the banks of the glistening Gregory Lake. Return to the hotel when night falls.

Day 8 - Ella

Transfer from Nuwara Eliya to Ella

Today we will be travelling to the picturesque town of Ella. The train journey that will bring you here from Nuwara Eliya will indeed take your very breath away! Many say it is one of the most beautiful train journeys in the world. After reaching Ella you can also go on and explore Little Adam’s Peak. Spend the rest of the day at leisure and enjoy the wonderful sceneries that the destination is famous for.

Day 9 - Ella

Explore Ella

We will be spending the full day in the town of Ella. So, have an early breakfast and prepare to enjoy a thorough exploratory tour. The iconic Ravana Cave and Ravana Falls will be included in your tour itinerary of the day. These famous places are linked to the Hindu epic Ramayanaya. It is believed that Sita was held captive in these places after she was abducted by Ravana. You will also be trekking to Lipton’s Seat today which affords spectacular views of the region.

Day 10 - Yala

Transfer from Ella to Yala

We will be travelling to Yala today. The journey will take approximately 4.5 hours, so we will start very early, right after your breakfast. On the way to Yala we will also be stopping at Buduruwagala Temple, where six ancient statues of Buddha can be seen. Once you reach the hotel in Yala, get some rest and then prepare to embark on an exhilarating safari tour in the Yala National Park, which has one of the highest leopard densities in the world.

Day 11 - Galle

Yala to Galle

In the morning, after your breakfast you will be checking out of the hotel to travel to the dazzling coastal city of Galle in the southwest coast of Sri Lanka. This is one of the most popular cities in the region among tourists. The stylish aura of the city is indeed quite striking! You will visit the majestic Galle Fort today, which was built by the Portuguese back in the year 1588 when they occupied the island. Spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 12 - Galle

Explore Galle

The full day will be spent in Galle today, so you can take your time and have a leisurely breakfast. You will be embarking on a exciting whale and dolphin watching tour today. This is indeed one of the most popular activities among the many tourists who visit the island. During the day a visit to the Turtle Hatchery will also be arranged. Spend the rest of the day exploring the city and relishing the tangy tastes of the land.

Day 13 - Bandaranaike International Airport

Transfer from Galle to Bandaranaike International Airport

Your day of departure has dawned. You will pack your bags and prepare to leave to the airport. When it is time for your flight back home, a representative of Tangerine Tours will take you from the hotel in Galle to the airport. We will say our goodbyes until next time!
