Day 1 - Southern beach
Day 1

Arrival and Transfer

Upon arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport a representative of Tangerine Tours will meet you. You will then travel to the shores of the south to enjoy a time of rest. While you are here, you can visit the iconic Galle Fort, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This fort, which was built back in the year 1588, is one of the most prominent attractions in the region. You will also get the chance to see stilt fishermen as you travel in the area.

Day 2 - Yala

Transfer from southern beach to Yala

After having your breakfast, you can prepare to travel to Yala. You will reach Yala in two hours. Upon arrival, get some rest and prepare to enjoy an adventurous safari tour in the Yala National Park, which is known to have one of the highest leopard densities in the world. A safari tour here will often give one the chance to spot elephants, sloth bears and wild water buffalos too. After your exciting safari tour you can return to your hotel and relax.

Day 3 - Yala

Explore Yala

Today too you will be spending your time in Yala. If you wish to enjoy yet another safari tour in the national park, you may do so. The other attractions that you will be able to explore today include Kataragama religious sites, Sellakataragama religious sites, Buduruwagala temple and Maligawila temple. These ancient sites vividly portray the richness of Sri Lanka’s beautiful culture. The world famous Bundala National Park can also be included in the travel itinerary for the day.

Day 4 - Belihuloya

Transfer from Yala to Belihuloya

After your breakfast at the hotel you will be travelling to Belihuloya which is located two hours away from Yala. Once you arrive here, enjoy some time of relaxation and repose. This picturesque village gives you a great opportunity to witness the colourful charm of the rural aspects of Sri Lanka. Mingle with the locals and relish the tantalizing tastes of local cuisines while enjoying the perfectly laidback atmosphere of the region.

Day 5 - Belihuloya

Explore Belihuloya

Spend the day drinking in the absolute loveliness of this idyllic village. You can add colour to your day by enjoying a village walk which will help you witness the raw and unspoiled beauty of the lives of the simple locals. Trekking and hiking tours in the region can also be arranged for those who like to be at one with nature. You can cook a meal with a local chef and have a swim in a glistening, natural pool to complete your thrilling experience.

Day 6 - Ella

Transfer from Belihuloya to Ella

Have your breakfast and set off to visit the picturesque town of Ella in the Hill Country. You will reach this mesmerizing destination in an hour from Belihuloya. Once you reach it, take time to explore its myriad of marvels. Places such as Little Adam’s Peak, 9 Arch Bridge, Ravana Cave, Ravana Falls as well as Ella Gap will be included in your travel itinerary for the day. Do take your cameras with you as the sights that greet you here are truly breathtaking!

Day 7 - Nuwara Eliya

Transfer from Ella to Nuwara Eliya

From Ella you will be travelling to Nuwara Eliya today, which will only take two hours. Once you reach this glorious city, get some rest while feasting your eyes on misty mountain ranges. You can enjoy a delightful stroll in the city during the day too. The cold weather of the region makes exploratory tours quite enchanting indeed! Be sure to wear warm clothes as Nuwara Eliya can often become rather cold. Unwind at night while relishing delicious local fare.

Day 8 - Nuwara Eliya

Explore Nuwara Eliya

Today too you will get the chance to explore the attractions of the city of Nuwara Eliya. Learn more about the timeless tea culture of the land by visiting tea factories and tea plantations. Witness the breathtaking allure of cascading waterfalls of the region and visit the stunning Horton Plains National Park to be enthralled by sites such as the World’s End. You can also explore the majestic Pidurangala Mountain while you are travelling in the beautiful city of Nuwara Eliya.

Day 9 - Kandy

Transfer from Nuwara Eliya to Kandy

Have a good breakfast at your hotel and prepare to drive to Kandy. This grand city is filled with many appeals that portray the grandiosity of its past. It is the last kingdom of ancient Sinhalese kings. Breathe in the allure of this city while exploring its many attractions and create enchanting memories. During the day you will get the chance to visit The Temple of the Tooth Relic, where a relic of a tooth of Buddha is enshrined.

Day 10 - Kandy

Explore Kandy

You can take the full day to visit the many attractions in Kandy today. The Udawattakele Sanctuary is a perfect place to explore as is the Independence Square. The Commonwealth War Cemetery, Gadaladeniya Temple, Lankathilake Temple and Embekke Temple can also be explored today. If you wish to admire the beauty and grace of Sri Lankan elephants, you can schedule a visit to Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage which is located in close proximity to Kandy.

Day 11 - Cultural Triangle

Transfer from Kandy to Cultural Triangle

Today you will be travelling to the Cultural Triangle from Kandy. The journey will take you approximately two hours. Once you reach the hotel you can check in and relax for a while as you will be spending three days in the region. Be enthralled by the loveliness of the rural setting of this destination and relish flavoursome local fare. A perfect time of relaxation and rest is always guaranteed in the enchanting Cultural Triangle.

Explore Cultural Triangle

You can spend the whole day exploring the Cultural Triangle so start your day early! You will be able to explore the magnificent Sigiriya Rock Fortress today, which was built by King Kasyapa who ruled in the island between 477 CE to 495 CE. Marvel at the manner in which such an incredible castle has been built upon a rock and fall in love with the ethereal beauty of the Sigiriya damsels as you spend your day absorbing the magic of this world famous destination.

Day 13 - Cultural Triangle

Explore Cultural Triangle

Have an early breakfast and set off to discover more attractions in the Cultural Triangle today. You will get the chance to visit Polonnaruwa ancient city, Dambulla Cave Temple and Ritigala Sanctuary today. If you visit during the dry season, you will get the chance to spot many herds of Sri Lankan elephants at the Minneriya National Park. An enchanting village trek will complete your stay in the majestic Cultural Triangle.

Day 14 - Pasikuda

Transfer from Cultural Triangle to Pasikuda

You will leave your hotel in the Cultural Triangle and travel to Pasikuda on the eastern shores of the country. This journey will take you approximately three hours. Once you reach Pasikuda, take some time to rest and relax upon the shores as the glorious beaches here are truly inviting! Spend a few hours idling at the beach and then go on to explore some of the prominent appeals of the region before you retire to rest.

You can take the full day to witness the appeal of Pasikuda to your heart’s content. The idyllic town has one of the longest stretches of shallow reef coastlines in the world. You will be able to walk for approximately a kilometre out in to the sea as the water is only a few inches deep! Spend the day absorbing the loveliness of this tropical haven and relish tantalizing local delicacies too. A perfect day is always guaranteed in beautiful Pasikuda!

Day 16 - Pasikuda

Explore Pasikuda

You will be spending yet another day in the magical coast of Pasikuda. Plenty of water sports are offered here so you can really look forward to an exhilarating experience! You can do snorkelling and scuba diving to witness the spectacular charm of the world beneath the rippling waves. Cruise rides can also be arranged for those who are yearning for the ultimate adrenaline rush. Once your day of adventure is over, return to your hotel and rest peacefully in the night.

Day 17 - Trincomalee

Transfer from Pasikuda to Trincomalee

Have a good breakfast at your hotel and prepare to travel to Trincomalee. The journey will only take you an hour. You can rest here as soon as you arrive and then go on to explore the region’s stunning appeals. Places such as Pigeon Island and Koneswaram Temple are quite popular in the city. There are plenty of water sports that you will be able to enjoy while travelling in Trincomalee too.

Explore Trincomalee

You can visit Pigeon Island today too if you wish and enjoy snorkelling and scuba diving. Pigeon Island is one of the two marine national parks in Sri Lanka. It offers great opportunities to witness the charm of the underwater world. You can even go on an exciting whale and dolphin watching tour during the day. Visit the iconic Nilaveli Beach and spend a few hours idling upon the golden shores to have a truly remarkable experience of tropical bliss!

Day 19 - Negombo

Transfer from Trincomalee to Negombo

Have an early breakfast at your hotel and get ready to leave to Negombo. This journey will take approximately five hours. Upon arrival, you can get a few hours of rest and then go on to explore the stunning appeals of the region. Relax upon the golden shores of the beach in Negombo and then enjoy a city tour to discover the myriad of marvels the city is blessed with. There are many beautiful churches to see and admire here too.

Day 20 - Bandaranaike International Airport

Transfer from Negombo to Bandaranaike International Airport

When it is time for your flight, we will drop you at the Bandaranaike International Airport which is located 30 minutes from Negombo. We will bid you adieu until next time!
