Day 1 - Negombo
Day 1

Arrival and Transfer

You will arrive at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake. A representative of Tangerine Tours will meet and greet you there. You will then proceed to travel to the idyllic coastal city of Negombo. This wonderful destination is replete with many stunning hotels, resorts as well as restaurants. So, you really will be able to enjoy a perfect time of relaxation and rest while preparing for the adventurous journey ahead. You can relish exquisite local fare at night and go to bed early tonight.

Day 2 - Sigiriya

Transfer from Negombo to Sigiriya

Today you will have an early breakfast and check out of the hotel to go to Sigiriya. The journey will take 3.5 hours. You will stop at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage on the way to admire the charm and majesty of Sri Lankan elephants. Once you reach the hotel in Sigiriya take some time to rest and then prepare to climb the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress. You will be enthralled by the grandeur of this mighty castle which has made Sri Lankans proud for centuries.

Day 3 - Sigiriya

Explore Sigiriya

The full day will be spent in Sigiriya today, so you can have a leisurely breakfast. Your first stop for the day will be Minneriya National Park which is renowned for its elephant population. An exciting safari tour here will help you admire the vibrant charm of Sri Lanka’s wildlife. You will then proceed to Polonnaruwa ancient city where well preserved remnants of Sri Lanka’s golden past can be seen and admired. Return to the hotel to rest and relax in the evening.

Day 4 - Sigiriya

Explore Sigiriya

You will be travelling to Anuradhapura ancient city today from Sigiriya. Anuradhapura was the very first capital of ancient Sri Lanka. The many great kings who ruled the island from Anuradhapura adorned the city’s territories with stunning monuments, statues and monasteries. Many of these ancient sites stand tall to this day. You will be visiting Aukana Buddha Statue as well as Mihintale monastery during the day. A tour in the ancient city of Anuradhapura will also be arranged.

Day 5 - Kandy

Transfer from Sigiriya to Kandy

After having breakfast at the hotel, you will be travelling to the city of Kandy. This regal city was the last capital of the ancient Sri Lankan kings. You can enjoy a city tour in Kandy today to discover its stunning appeals and admire its unique culture. The Temple of the Tooth Relic, which houses a relic of a tooth of Buddha, will be visited today. It is one of the most important sites of worship among the Buddhists in the country.

Day 6 - Nuwara Eliya

Transfer from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya

You will be travelling for 2.5 hours to reach Nuwara Eliya from Kandy in the morning. This journey will indeed be a picturesque one and you will get the chance to witness the spectacular beauty of the Hill Country. Once you reach the refreshing territories of Nuwara Eliya, take some time to rest. You can also enjoy a delightful tour in the city to admire the idyllic beauty of its little cottages and tea estates. Return to your hotel to spend a restful night.

Day 7 - Nuwara Eliya

Explore Nuwara Eliya

You can enjoy a day of exploration in the misty terrains of Nuwara Eliya today. Several prominent tourist attractions will be visited today. The majestic Ramboda Falls will be your first stop. Be awed by the allure of these cascading waters as they rush down the polished rock face. You will get the chance to learn more about the tea industry in Sri Lanka as you embark on tea factory and tea estate tours. Several colonial bungalows will also be explored during the day.

Day 8 - Ella

Transfer from Nuwara Eliya to Ella

A scenic train journey, which many say is one of the most beautiful train journeys in the world, will bring you from Nuwara Eliya to the picture perfect town of Ella. Spend a few hours exploring the lush territories of this region and discover its beautiful appeals. You will get the opportunity to climb Little Adam’s Peak during your tour in Ella too. Once your explorations are done, you can return to your hotel to spend a night of perfect rest.

Day 9 - Ella

Explore Ella

You will have breakfast and prepare to explore the town of Ella extensively. Today’s itinerary will cover famous attractions that are linked to the Hindu epic, Ramayanaya. The Ravana Rock and Ravana Cave where Sita, is believed to have been kept after she was abducted by Ravana will be explored today. The iconic Lipton’s Seat is yet another fascinating attraction that you will be visiting during the day. All these sites will be part of trekking tours so come prepared in comfortable clothes and shoes.

Day 10 - Yala

Transfer from Ella to Yala

You will be leaving Ella to travel to Yala today right after breakfast. The journey will take approximately three hours. En route you will also be stopping at Buduruwagala temple where six statues of Buddha which belong to the Mahayana school of thought can be found. You will then proceed to the world famous Yala National Park where a safari tour will be arranged. After your thrilling day of adventure, you can go to your hotel and have a good night’s rest.

Day 11 - Galle

Transfer from Yala to Galle

Early morning after breakfast you will be preparing to journey to the iconic coastal city of Galle. The journey will take you approximately 4.5 hours. Once you reach the hotel in Galle, you can check-in and have a time of rest. The majestic Galle Fort which was built by the Portuguese back in the year 1588 will be explored today. After your insightful tour in the city is complete, you can return to the hotel and enjoy a delicious dinner and relax.

Day 12 - Galle

Explore Galle

Today too you will have the full day to travel around the city of Galle, discovering more and more of its splendid attractions. One of the most popular places of interest in Galle is the Turtle Hatchery which you will be visiting today. Here you will get the chance to learn more about the darling sea turtles of the land. A whale and dolphin watching tour will also be arranged for your blissful pleasure. In the evening you can relax and unwind.

Day 13 - Bandaranaike International Airport

Transfer from Galle to Bandaranaike International Airport

Your journey of adventure has come to an end and it is time for us to say our goodbyes. You can pack your bags and get ready to leave the hotel. We will take you to the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake which is located approximately 2.5 hours away from Galle in time for your flight. We will bid you adieu now, until we meet again!
